Crest of the Maeda family, daimyô of Kanazawa in Kaga. It was made for Tadayasu, 13th lord Maeda. circa 1845-48

62 plate helmet, signed: "Jôshû no jû Saotome Iyenari", chin guard signed: "Juryô Mitsunori", cuirass in tate-hagi style with "Temmangu" (posthumous name of Sugawara Michizane considered by the Maeda as their ancestor) signed: "Juryô Mitsushige", Kaga style sleeves signed: "Fukuda Mitsuzane".
